The newest version of the Alberta Standard of Practice has been reviewed by the Safety Codes Council Plumbing Technical Committee and is now going through the final formatting prior to print.

The regulation that adopts the changes to the SOP is currently in the regulatory review process.  This phase must be completed prior to the Standard being brought into force by regulation. It is anticipated therefore that the new SOP will likely be released sometime in December.

Information on SOP Update training and mandatory use of the new SOP will be available in the next couple of months.
