The AOWMA sent a letter to Municipal Affairs Minister Hector Goudreau to outline our willingness to work with the Ministry  to develop onsite training and phases 2 – 5 training. The letter also outlines our willingness to work with the Ministry to launch POSSE, the centralized permit filing registry that was developed with association input  that will be a required tool for a provincial maintenance standard and an effective enforcement framework.

On March 14, AOWMA staff met with  Chris Tye, Alberta Municipal Affairs, Alf Durnie, Alberta Municipal Affairs and Doug Clough, Safety Codes Council to discuss mutual areas of concern raised at the AOWMA convention and to review the letter to Mr. Goudreau.
