The 14th Annual Convention and Trade Show will be held in Edmonton on January 26, 27 & 28, 2012. The Mayfield Inn and Convention Centre is the venue for Western Canada’s largest onsite wastewater event. Over fifty booths will be hosted by manufacturers and suppliers to the onsite wastewater industry. During the trade show, industry stakeholders will be able to see the newest industry technologies and participate in technical sessions under one roof.
The convention will follow a new format this year, with workshops and open forum discussions. Key focuses will be on enforcement issues, increased flow rates and other issues arising after a second season with the 2009 Standard of Practice. As well, the AOWMA welcomes back Jim Anderson and Dave Gustafson from the University of Wisconsin. Jim and Dave will present a workshop on Operation, Maintenance and Inspection that will result in NAWT certification for those who complete the entire workshop. This nationally recognized program is generally only available through the National Onsite Waste Transporters Association in the United States.
The convention will also present education streams for industry contractors, pumpers, and property developers throughout the three day event.
